Guys these novels simply broke me. My heart ached from beginning to end. The ache I felt took my breath away. At times it left me feeling completely empty, but on the other side of the emptiness it left me feeling at peace with a calmness that I can't describe. I'm not quite sure what it is about Clarissa Wild's writing that gets me but every single time I read her books, she pushes me out of my comfort box in an unknown world but always in all the best ways. On paper I'd shy away from this type of book (darker, angstier) but never with Clarissa. I'm so glad she's a go to for me... and that I read Caged (and Uncaged) because they were brilliant.

Still, I did finish and enjoyed it to a point once I managed to suspend my disbelief slightly but unfortunately there was just something missing for me with this one. I try to get up, but my feet don’t feel like they belong to me, and I struggle to get anywhere. But I don’t give up. I keep crawling across the floor, hoping to make it to the light, just so I can see where I am. Featuring four couples with their fates intertwined with one another, this book looks at four different stories in total. Linking them all together is an evil business empire which brings each one of their stories together on different terms. With a new revelation on the horizon for them all, it appears that things are going to be drastically changing for each of them. Can they each overcome this together, what will they discover, and will they end up happy forever after darkness? My review applies to both this book and it’s “sequel” so I’m going to copy and paste it both to save anyone interested in reading the time. I don’t even want to warn for spoilers because it’s hard to spoil something that barely contains a plot but SPOILER WARNING nonetheless.I’m so close, I can almost taste her, my heart beating faster and faster. I can think of nothing else but to touch her, and I don’t understand why. Why there’s this need growing inside me. Ella suffers a tragedy when she's young, it devastates her to the point she stops speaking becoming a selective mute. And lastly, why do beast and aurora get kidnapped like thrice in this book? The author just couldn’t come up with a new plot, so she just repeated the kidnap trope like 5x in two books. Her soft breaths are like music to my ears, and I close my eyes so I can enjoy it more, the sound making me groan with delight. My owner gave her to me, and she is mine to play with as much as I want. And now that she's finally letting me get close, I'm not going to let this opportunity slide.

There are some grammatical issues, of which I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested. These were mainly comprised of extra inserted words, missing words, typos and/or incorrect word choices. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow and visualization.Aurora, I loved her, I did. She found her her own voice and was working on figuring out just who she wanted to be, but she does have a bleeding heart, which puts her in some interesting situations that had me shaking my head.
